Frequently asked questions

Which video qualities can I download?

Every quality the video has, from 144p up to 4K (2160p). After you paste a link you only see the qualities that video actually offers.

Why does my 1440p or 4K file not play on my device?

Above 1080p, YouTube only offers VP9 or AV1 video. Chrome, Edge and VLC play it, but some older phones and TV players do not. Choose 1080p or lower for the widest compatibility.

Why does it say "Preparing" before the download starts?

The video and audio are downloaded and joined on our server first. Long or high-quality videos take longer. You see a progress bar, then the file downloads automatically.

Is there a limit on video length?

Yes, very long videos are not supported so the service stays fast for everyone. If a video is too long you will see a message with the limit.
